Green Valley Racquet Association: Summer Community Update

Summer Tennis Clinics Are Right Around the Corner!

Excitement is building for our upcoming free tennis programs! Here is where we stand as we get ready to hit the courts:

Schedule Reminder: For now, all published timeframes remain exactly as scheduled. We will reassess after the first week or two of clinics to see if any adjustments need to be made based on attendance and flow.

Strong Youth Registration: We already have approximately 25 to 30 kids registered for our summer tennis clinics, which will be held on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Thinking about learning tennis? Come on out! If you’ve ever wanted to try the game but didn’t know where to start, this is your perfect opportunity. Our clinics are low-pressure, incredibly welcoming, and designed for complete beginners. Don’t let intimidation hold you back, we are all out here to learn, get some great exercise, and have fun together!

Top-Tier Coaching Staff: We are finalizing our instructor lineup with fantastic support from the Denver Tennis Park alongside our excellent local staff right here in Green Valley Ranch.

Loaner Equipment Available: Don’t worry if you don’t own a racquet! We will have plenty of extra loaner racquets available for any kids or adults who need them to participate.

For anyone attending the clinics, please remember to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, cold water bottles to drink, etc. It’s still pretty warm out.

Parents, camping chairs around the courts’ perimeter are encouraged if you would like to stay and watch your kids.

Court Resurfacing Project Update

We are thrilled to share an update on our court resurfacing project. While the process is moving a bit slower than initially hoped, it is absolutely moving forward!

There are a lot of moving parts to a major project like this. We are currently coordinating with Denver Parks & Recreation, local contractors, and equipment suppliers for on-court amenities (like new court benches) to get all the pieces of the puzzle organized in the right timeframe.

Timeline: To ensure our current programs run without interruption, the court resurfacing will likely take place this fall, right after our summer clinics conclude.

Future Events: Once the courts are beautifully resurfaced, we can’t wait to host some exciting community celebration events in the late summer or fall!

Looking to the Future

The community response to the Green Valley Racquet Association has been incredibly positive up to this point, and we are just getting started. We are fully committed to building a thriving, vibrant tennis community here in Green Valley Ranch and Northeast Denver.

Looking ahead, we plan to expand our programming to include high-energy Cardio Tennis events. To see what that looks like, you can learn more about the program created by industry expert Michelle Krause at the Cardio Tennis Website.

Thank you for your continued support, we’ll see you on the courts soon!
